Q: TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND: WHEN DID YOU DECIDE YOU WANTED TO BE A DESIGNER? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING AS AN INTERIOR DESIGNER? WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE INTERIOR DESIGN?
A: As a little girl, I loved going furniture shopping with my mom, looking at open houses and model homes. I never realized there was a career for me to do all of those things! When I moved to Tampa I started working for West Elm and before I knew it I was designing. I realized I finally found my passion, switched my schooling around and started my own company, Coco Design Group! We have been established for 3 years now and I am loving every bit of it.
Q: WHAT STYLE DO YOU LIKE TO DESIGN THE MOST?
A: My personal style is more modern/contemporary. I do a lot of modern designs so I love when a client wants a boho or industrial style to switch it up. I have so much fun with those.
Q: WHAT PROJECT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
A: By far a project we did in Odessa! Everything was custom made! Upholstery, dining tables, media center etc. The clients gave us free range to really go all out and it came out so beautiful and it was so fun not having any limitations!
Q: WHY DO YOU ENJOY BRINGING CUSTOMERS TO UMI STONE?
A: The connection and customer service! Clients like to see the relationships built with vendors.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCT UMI CARRIES AND FAVORITE COLOR OF THAT PRODUCT?
A: The Arabescato Pompeii Quartz is my FAVORITE!
Q: WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING ON YOUR FREE TIME?
A: RELAXING! I run around all week and sometimes even weekends working, doing events, networking etc so when I do have free time I like to be somewhere with a water view hanging out!
Q: TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PHOTOS YOU ARE ATTACHING, WHAT UMI PRODUCT IS FEATURED, STYLE, ETC.
A: I love that Umi gives us the resources we need for our clients! With the quartz samples, I am easily able to create vision boards for clients. Also attached is a kitchen rendering showcasing Pompeii quartz.
